What to Prepare Before You Commission Stay Promotion
A Jeju stay example for briefing room-by-room beds, occupancy, views, photo needs, and accurate rates and cancellation terms.
“Please take some pretty photos of the coast” is not a useful lodging brief. Guests need to know what each room offers: beds, occupancy, and the actual view. Before the shoot, prepare a room table and confirm the details shown on your booking page.
For a three-room stay in Jeju, you might list Room A as one queen bed, two guests, garden view, and Room B as two single beds, two guests, partial sea view. If only one room overlooks the sea, do not advertise ocean views in every room. Verify the real distance to the beach and how guests get there.
Describe the stay in one sentence
Say who the stay is for and why they would choose it. For example: “A small stay for two people exploring eastern Jeju at an easy pace.” Add the property type, address, parking details, and directions from transit or nearby landmarks.
Do not use claims such as “five minutes from the airport,” “a private pool,” or “every room is a separate house” unless they are accurate. Confirm any designation needed for a term such as “tourist pension.” List shots to avoid, including neighboring construction or a coastline that is not visible from your property.
Build a shot list for each room
Room name, bed setup, maximum guests, and the real view from the window
Wide room view, bed and walking space, bathroom, and window view
Shared spaces, parking, entrance, and check-in instructions
Dates when the room is occupied and times when no guest should appear
Garden, beach, or nearby scenery that changes with the season
A room-by-room list helps the image order match the captions. If the sea is only partly visible, make that clear in the image and its description.
Use the current rate and cancellation terms
Do not ask the photographer or page designer to rewrite rates or cancellation terms from memory. Send the current weekday, weekend, and peak-season rates; occupancy limits and extra-person charges; check-in and check-out times; and cancellation deadlines. Before publishing, compare every number in the page with the booking service.
Include these items in the brief
Property type, address, directions, and one-sentence description
A room-by-room table of beds, occupancy, and views
Required photos and scenes that must not be shot
Approved source text for rates, cancellations, and check-in
Where the page should link to booking, the calendar, and inquiries
The person who checks factual accuracy and the approval order
When reviewing the draft, ask not only whether it feels inviting, but whether each photo shows the room named beside it. Explain differences before booking so guests do not discover them only after arrival.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is a reference film enough?
No. Per-room views and banned shots keep ocean view out of the wrong layout.
Add a tourist-pension mark?
Only with the designation. You confirm the name before you hand it over.
Can terms be shortened?
Give the posted source. Do not leave only “no refunds.”
Coastal drone only?
Room windows and whole rooms go missing. Put rooms first on the shot list.
How do we scope revisions?
Split copy fixes from shooting another room.
